Biography

Curvaceous fashionista Kim Kardashian was born on October 21, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. Born of Armenian descent, Kardashian’s late father was OJ Simpson’s defense attorney Robert Kardashian. She has nine brothers and sisters, including three full siblings, two half-sisters, three step-brothers, and one step-sister. Kardashian’s step-father is 1976 Olympic Games gold medalist, Bruce Jenner, father of Princes of Malibu star Brody Jenner.

The Kardashians took part in the TV reality show "Keeping up with the Kardashians" staring Kim and her sisters and stepsisters as well as her mom and former Olymian stepdad Bruce Jenner.
Growing up in an affluent Los Angeles family, Kardashian received a car for her sixteenth birthday. Unlike her friends, however, Kardashian found herself cut off by her parents at age eighteen, as they wanted to instill a work ethic in their daughter. Kardashian befriended such socialites as Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, and Nicole Richie. Later on, these friends would also become some of her top clients when she founded the upscale Calabasas fashion boutique "Dash," along with her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe. Prior to opening her own store, Kardashian sold some of her top designer duds on e-bay.

In 2004, twenty-three-year-old Kardashian divorced from her husband, R&B producer, Damon Thomas. Much of Kardashian’s post-divorce romances with high-profile celebrities would prove to place her in the headlines, including relationships with Diddy, The Game, and Nick Lachey, shortly following his 2005 split from Jessica Simpson.

In early 2007, a sex tape hit the Internet starring Kardashian and boyfriend at the time, Ray J, little brother to Brandy Norwood. Although Kardashian admitted to the existence of the tape before it went public, she denied orchestrating the release of the tape for profit, claiming "I don’t need the money." Adult film company, Vivid Entertainment, purchased the tape from an unknown source for $1 million, and reportedly plans to release the tape on DVD before February 28, 2007, under the title Kim Kardashian Superstar. The tape has also been posted on Kimksuperstar.com, and can be seen for a fee.

When notified of Vivid Entertainment’s distribution of the video, a rep for Kardashian said Kim would be taking legal action against anyone responsible for distributing the video. Kardashian and Ray had long since split, and the rapper had since been romantically linked to Lil’ Kim and and Whitney Houston.

Kardashian featured on the cover of Complex magazine's February/March 2007 issue and went on to be Hugh Hefner's Playboy magazine covergirl for December 2007.
In 2007 Kim begun shooting season two of her family’s hit reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Ever in demand for fashion shoots and products, Kim was signed as the model and spokesowman for Bongo jeans in 2008. It’s rumored that her body was a little too voluptuous for Bongo, hence some photoshopping occurred in the ads.

In August 2008 Kim Kardashian added yet another role to her ever increasing resume, Dancing Queen, as she competed in the new season’s reality TV show, Dancing With The Stars!Kardashian began her dancing on September 22nd with professional dancer Mark Ballas but before the start of the show Kim was nursing a cut foot that had seen her taking a visit to the hospital.
Then on Good Morning America she revealed that she would battle on regardless and would be taking to the dance floor. But despite her dance partner, Mark’s dancing prowess he couldn’t make the rhythm retarded Kim lose her stiff dance style and take them to the finals. In fact the couple were eliminated in the first three weeks of the show. After being thrown off Kim ran back stage in tears to be comforted by her family.

Kim’s 28th birthday saw her celebrating with boyfriend Reggie Bush at the Alabama medical center this year when he was hospitalized with a knee injury. But determined not to completely miss the big day, Kim and Reggie celebrated a few days later, hosting a party at LAX nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

Scarlett Johansson's biography

Scarlett Johansson's profile

Scarlett Johansson
Born: 22 November 1984
Where: New York City, New York, USA
Awards: Won 1 BAFTA, Nominated for 2 Golden Globes
Height: 5' 4"

Filmography: The Complete List
Often a young actress will deliver a performance so strong, so mature she is feted as the Next Big Thing. But the description is usually used more in hope than expectation. We all know that many years and many films can pass before she'll live up to her early promise, if indeed she ever does. Early 2004, though, saw the arrival of a young talent who seemed near fully-formed, despite being still in her teens. As said, many youngsters break through with one outstanding performance, yet here was Scarlett Johansson, double-nominated at the Golden Globes and BAFTAs for the parts she played in Lost In Translation and Girl With A Pearl Earring. A double-nominee - this showed a consistent level of excellence ordinarily only reached by the likes of Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore and Holly Hunter. And this was an 18-year-old. Surely, there could this time be no doubt that this was the Next Big Thing.

Actually, close observers had been saying this about Johansson for some considerable time. Way back in 1996 she'd been nominated for an Independent Spirit award for Manny And Lo, then received worldwide plaudits for her part in Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer. Striking roles in gritty teen flick Ghost World and the Coen brothers' The Man Who Wasn't There pushed her claim still further. Given that kind of CV, her 2004 burst-out seems less sensational than overdue.

She was born on the 22nd of November, 1984, in New York City. Her father, of Danish extraction, was a building contractor in Manhattan, while her mother, Melanie, looked after kids Adrian, Vanessa, Scarlett and Hunter, Hunter being Scarlett's twin, younger than her by three minutes ("the most important three minutes of my life", she's said). As Hunter would grow to 6' 3", with dark eyes and hair, Scarlett would later comment that they were as much like real twins as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. There was also a half-brother, living with his mother in Denmark. Scarlett's name was, in a new family tradition, taken from Gone With The Wind, mother Melanie, of course, sharing the name of S

Penélope Cruz Sánchez'sBiography

Penélope Cruz Sánchez's profile

Name:Penélope Cruz Sánchez Born : April 28, 1974 (1974-04-28) (age 34) Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain Occupation : Actress Years active : 1988–present
Mini Biography

Known outside her native country as the "Spanish enchantress", Penélope Cruz Sánchez was born in Madrid to Eduardo (a retailer) and Encarna (a hairdresser). As a toddler, she was already a compulsive performer, re-enacting TV commercials for her family's amusement, but she decided to focus her energies on dance. After studying classical ballet for nine years at Spain's National Conservatory, she continued her training under a series of prominent dancers. At 15, however, she heeded her true calling when she bested more than 300 other girls at a talent agency audition. The resulting contract landed her several roles in Spanish TV shows and music videos, which in turn paved the way for a career on the big screen. Cruz made her movie debut in Laberinto griego, El (1993) (The Greek Labyrinth), then appeared briefly in the Timothy Dalton thriller Framed (1992) (TV). Her third film was the Oscar-winning Belle epoque (1992), in which she played one of four sisters vying for the love of a handsome army deserter. The film also garnered several Goyas, the Spanish equivalent of the Academy Awards. Her resume continued to grow by three or four films each year, and soon Cruz was a leading lady of Spanish cinema. Carne trémula (1997) (Live Flesh) offered her the chance to work with renowned Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar (who would later be her ticket to international fame), and the same year she was the lead actress in the thriller/drama/mystery/sci-fi film Abre los ojos (1997), a huge hit in Spain that earned eight Goyas (though none for Cruz). Her luck finally changed in 1998, when the movie-industry comedy Niña de tus ojos, La (1998) won her a Best Actress Goya. Cruz made a few more forays into English-language film, but her first big international hit was Almodóvar's Todo sobre mi madre (1999) (All About My Mother), in which she played an unchaste but well-meaning nun. As the film was showered with awards and accolades, Cruz suddenly found herself in demand on both sides of the Atlantic. Her next big project was Woman on Top (2000), an American comedy about a chef with bewitching culinary skills and a severe case of motion sickness. While in the US, she also signed up to star opposite Johnny Depp in the drug-trafficking drama Blow (2001) and opposite Matt Damon (her rumored paramour) in Billy Bob Thornton's All the Pretty Horses (2000). Cruz says she's wary of being typecast as a beautiful young damsel, but it's hard to imagine disguising her wide-eyed charms and generous nature (she once donated an entire paycheck to Mother Teresa's children's sanctuary). Fortunately, with Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky (2001) (a remake of Abre los ojos (1997)) and a John Madden collaboration looming in her future, Damsel Penelope isn't likely to disappear just yet.
