Cheryl Ann Tweedy was born on born 30th June in Newcastle upon Tyne in Britain. She was into show biz at an early age performing in large number of fashion and modeling shows. She also acted in plays, sang, did ball room dancing and won several competitions in ballet dancing. She was in spot light as a child even before she became a star by winning various awards like Mother care Happy Faces Portrait competition, Best Looking Girl of Newcastle, Most Attractive Girl at Metro Centre, a very famous mall in New Castle, and Best Looking Girl of Newcastle.

A pop star is a reality television program and working as a waitress in a restaurant she threw her ring into the contest. With her strong back ground in acting singing and dancing she stormed her way into the finals and the first to be selected. Along with rest of the final winners they started out with a band called girls aloud which has gone on to become one of the biggest bands in UK. Their debut album went on to become platinum selling 330,000 copies. All of the albums sold in large numbers with three more silvers making her a true celebrity.

Cheryl married the arsenal soccer star Ashley cole in 2006 at Wrotham Park, Herts and threw a party for 500,000$. They also took home a cool million each for selling their wedding pictures to OK! Magazine.

Fondly called as Cheeza by the press, she beat Britney spears and came second in a poll for world’s sexiest women. She never dropped out of top six till 2007 in the sexiest women polls. But all the attention was not always very positive. She had a nasty confrontation with brit singer lily Allen when she called her “a chic with dick”. Lily responded with scathing remarks on she using auto tune to aid in singing and termed her a “bitch”.

Her attacks on others continued during football world cup 2006, where she said the wives and girl friends of other foot balers spent their partners money but she did with her own green and spared Victoria Beckham alone saying they have a lot in common.

Tweedy was involved in a fight with a toilet attendant, Sophie Amogbokpa, in drink nightclub in Guildford. She was charged with racial abuse and assault on the attendant. The court found her guilty and asked her to pay a fine of 500£, attorney charges of 3000£ and 120 hours of community service. But she maintained that she did not use racist language and used force only as an act of self-defense. But rest of her band mates, her manager and her friends came to her support and said she never was a racist and there was more to this incident than that meets the eye.

Tweedy has also starred in a number of advertisements like Eldon Square Christmas, British Gas when she was young. After she became a celebrity she signed up for Coke Zero for a whooping two million contract.
